I have been here quite a few times and the food doesn’t disappoint. Consistently hot, fresh, and flavorful. Portion sizes are great. I ordered the rotisserie chicken with tostones, rice and beans. The chicken was crisp on the outside and packed with flavor on the inside. Nice & moist. I have also ordered the chicken, onions, red peppers, & mozzarella empanadas & the jerk chicken, onions & green peppers empanadas, but were delicious. Lastly, I ordered the fired cheesecake empanadas, which I was not a fan of and don’t recommend. The cheesecake was just too much to go in a empanada. Overall, customer service is always great, place is clean and food is delicious!

We visited Lechon for lunch last week. We had been wanting to go ever since we first heard about it, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We had the 2 Meat Plate with Lechon Crispy Skin, BBQ Ribs, Fried Sweet Plantains, and Lechon Rice. The two of us shared a plate, and we still brought leftovers home. The food and service were fantastic - so much so that our friends have already returned for a second visit! We highly recommend Lechon. We will be back! Thank you so much for the wonderful dining experience!

If you’re a true BBQ lover, you absolutely can’t miss the roasted pork here. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and infused with that classic smoky flavor that only comes from time, care, and tradition. The skin is crispy and golden, just the way it should be, while the meat is so tender it practically melts in your mouth. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, with that Southern charm that makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re grabbing a plate or going all out with a full spread, this place takes lechon BBQ to the next level. 100% recommended for anyone craving real flavor and an unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Their food was delicious, the only thing I would improve is if they had someone to take your order instead of ordering at the counter. That Lechon (roasted pulled pork ) was top notch the fact they serve you a piece of crunchy skin and not fat was great. It transported back to Puerto Rico I enjoyed the rice and peas and they serve a yellow sauce for the green, crispy, giant plantains that is really good with a hint of spice. The empanadas are okay I expected more flavor in the beef but the pork ones did not disappoint. It was worth the 3 hour drive from SC. Wait also those huge crunchy tostones hit the spot.Mojito was okay too.

Let me start by saying that I'm 100% puertorican raised in Arecibo, PR. With that perspective in mind, I went to this restaurant, not even knowing that it was inside the mall. I just happened to be shopping, got hungry, saw it there and went in. The atmosphere is ok. The restaurant was clean and nice looking. You have to order your food at the counter before sitting down. The menu had alot of choices and the prices were decent, not too high but not cheap either. Had the lechon, (pulled pork), with white rice, red beans and maduros, (sweet plantains). Also ordered a Medalla beer. They gave me a little stand with a number. Asked for the beer to be brought out to my table when the food gets delivered to a table of my choosing. My food came out between 10 and 15 minutes of waiting at my table, not too bad. The employees were very courteous. The pulled pork had a layer of crispy skin on top that was crunchy and tasty. The pork itself tasted great, not bland, spicy hot or salty. Just the right flavor. The sweet plantains were fried but not greasy at all. They were pretty dark, not burnt, which is exactly how I like my sweet plantains to be. Now the rice and beans I did not expect to be the highlight of my entree, but good lord, it was great, tasty and the craziest part is that I hardly even like beans. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody in the Raleigh/Durham area. It is right up there with Carmen's Cuban Cafe in presentation of the food and flavor. It is a tie for me since I've been going to Carmen's for years and I just found out about this place today. The only issue I had is that I wish they had a building of their own and not be in the mall. But then again Cheesecake Factory and PF Chang are in a mall also. Not the same mall though.
